About me

Iyec/Van Vicker Foundation is a non governmental independent organization which promotes exchange and friendship on a global scale, for the development of the youth. The organization believes that the society we live in is a very important part of a democratic culture thus emphasizes on the development of the societies most valuable assets that are the youth .The head of the organization is based in Ghana with a branch in Denmark at the moment hoping to expand to other countries in the near future. The primary aim of the organization is to create a forum for intercultural education that will empower the youth and educators via skills for their self and community development. The organization welcomes all interested people from all walks of life to help make the world a peaceful world to live in.

The two organizations have started a school project in Ghana where we are establishing youth clubs in various schools across the country. The aim of the youth club formation is to give young people the room to develop their talents and skills in their own environment as well as to empower them. The youth clubs are also expected to come out with good acting skills within the drama group in the club along side various club activities which will broaden their minds and horizon and also through the drama club they can educate people on diverse issues through the acting in the case of global warming or climate change our aim is to use Drama and theater to educate peopve in the rural areas on how to live their lives in a better way to save the planet.

IYEC/VAN VICKER PROGRAMMES are not only meant for young people in Ghana. Since the world we live in today is becoming more global and global the organization has made it available for young people all around the world to participate in our various programmes to Ghana.
Young people from all over the world can take part in our activities which are as such:

1. Film and theatre programme/acting in Ghana which is from 1 month to 12 months(you chose your self how long you want to be on the programme)
2. Voluntary working where you can work in a school, orphanage, kindergarten and other places as a volunteer worker or with the iyec/van team where you will be a volunteer for our school programmes.
3. Year abroad as an exchange student in Ghana where you will be in a school.
4. Youth leadership training.
5. Environmental programmes.
6. Women Empowerment.
7. Global issues and many others.
