Artificial vs. Natural

Is there any chance still left for us to realign with nature and its (Her?) processes? Can it regenerate and heal its wounds? Are we really supposed to drink and eat everything? Is our infrastructure sustainable? What shall we do when mines remain empty? What about all that concrete and asphalt? There used to be soil. My brain hurts.

Our lives are highly artificial - we wear clothes, drive vehicles, build houses, heal illnesses and leave a lot of concrete, asphalt and rust behind us. We can use our weaponry and money to keep us on the top of the food and consumption chain. This planet is highly populated by people and devastated by us, so we can't for this (and many more) reason return to the stage of hunting and gathering. Still, I guess that we can live with (e.g.) less plastics.

Bankruptcy is an unnatural phenomenon. The world doesn't stop turning after a bankruptcy. At least it shouldn't stop turning.

Which option is "greener": books, notebooks and money made of paper and multimedia made of plastics or their digital equivalents? Digital equivalents consume (renewable or nonrenewable) energy each time we use them. It's absurd that a static digital page also uses electrical energy just to keep it visible for a reader. The more our lives become digital, the more they rely on artificial infrastructure bits of information. Also, the more cyber psychopaths become interested to ruin them.

You are an open system. Plants and animals (those left after our unreasonable behaviour) are open system. All those nice and technologically advanced gadgets are closed systems. Open systems exchange matter and energy and bring interdependence, order and regeneration into the environment. The only future for closed systems is disorder and later even more disorder.
