Nature is a system. Degraded systems due to pollution and commodity extraction degrade the conditions for human life. Money and willingness (necessity) to pay are not appropriate measures of value on which to base the decisions humanity faces.Emergy measures environmental support and generation of resources to keep ecosystem stability and integrity. This paper challenges Kiwah to go a step further in defining a planetary foundation for its currency.

If we want to leave nature to behave as a sustainable system, we must do something about overpopulation. The control of birth rate (we haven't even started it) is supposedly undemocratic and against human rights. Also, old global population would definitely be more sustainable than young, but it would supposedly be bad for economy. Also, the tag "planet development." should probably be "planet development".
